Cait Murphy
Senior Editor
Senior editor Cait Murphy has covered business all over the globe, from London to the Far East, and brings years of international business journalism experience to FORTUNE.
Before joining FORTUNE in the fall of 1998, Murphy lived in London where she worked for The Economist as social policy correspondent (1994-1997), and then as environment and energy correspondent (1997-1998). Prior to that, she was editorial page editor (1993-94) and deputy editorial page editor (1989-1993) for the Asian Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong.
The editor of three books, including The Broken Mirror: China After Tiananmen, Murphy has also written articles for The Atlantic, New England Monthly, Connoisseur, and The Washington Post, among other publications. At FORTUNE, she has written stories on France, Germany, social policy, globalization and the airline industry.
She has a B.A. in American Studies from Amherst College.
